Retired - Metal Matrix Necklace

1. Begin by using pliers to separate your silver charm chain into 5 sections of 4 links each (approximately 1/2 inch). To do this, open every 4th link of chain the same way you would open a jump ring. Close the link. Repeat this step to separate your gold charm chain into five sections of 4 links each.
2. Now open the end link of one silver section of chain, and slide on the end link of a gold section of chain. Close the link. Repeat this step 4 more times to create a connected series of 10 alternating color blocks of silver and gold charm chain, measuring approximately 6.5 inches total (see photo for reference).
3. Next, use flush cutters to cut 6 inches of beading wire. String on one crimp tube, then string on the end link on one side of your reassembled charm chain. Double your beading wire back through the crimp tube, and use a crimping tool to crimp the bead. Clip the extra wire. Then use pliers to attach a crimp cover over your crimp tube.
4. String on 3 jasper beads and two gold Czech glass flower spacer beads. Follow this pattern 3 more times, then add 3 more jasper beads for a total of 15 jasper beads and 8 Czech glass beads.
5. Attach a jump ring on this side of your necklace as follows: string on a crimp tube, then string on the jump ring. Double back through the crimp tube and repeat the crimping process outlined in Step 3 to crimp the bead and attach a crimp cover.
6. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to attach beading wire and string beads onto the opposite side of your charm chain. Attach your clasp on this side of your necklace as follows: string on a crimp tube, then string on the loop of your clasp. Double back through the crimp tube and repeat the crimping process outlined in Step 3 to crimp the bead and attach a crimp cover.
7. To attach your Picasso Jasper pendant, open a jump ring and slide on the loop of your pendant. Also slide on the centermost link of the charm chain on your assembled necklace. Close the jump ring. Enjoy!
