Essential Tool
II did not know how badly I needed these pliers until I had them. I have perhaps 10 different pairs of pliers on my work table, and yet I keep finding myself needing to use these particular pliers. Once you have these pliers, the other chain nose pliers feel big and clumsy to use. You can get into all of those tight little spaces that the regular chain nose pliers cannot reach. Do yourself a huge favor, and make your work easier, by buying yourself this tool.

Absolute must-have in your tool box
Best recommendation: I put together a starter jewelry tool set for my 12-year old grand-daughter as a gift, and along with the standard chain nose, round nose, and cutter set, the 2 tools that I added for her were: crimping pliers and XURON JEWELER'S SUPER FINE PLIERS.

I consider them essential to my tool box; but I do disagree with one reviewer who likes them to open and close jump rings. If there's a trick to that, I'd like to learn it. Even with smaller jump rings, I've found that when using 2 pliers to open and close jump rings, I'd rather use just about any pliers (chain nose, bent nose, round nose - whatever) besides these. Even though I have a good, strong grip, it seems like half the time I try to use them for jump rings, the side of the jump ring that I'm holding with the Super Fine pliers invariably pulls out - I can't seem to hold the grip.

I LOVE these pliers and use them EVERY time for getting into small spaces, and for making wrapped loops. I ALWAYS pick these up for the final finishing stage of tucking the last end of wire in after snipping it off. I don't know how else I ever did this before I owned these pliers. In fact, I bought a 2nd pair for myself because I felt that they're that indespensible. After making a wrapped loop, you always have the little loose end sticking out, no matter how sharply pointed of a cutting tool you are using. As the last step to give a polished and professional look, while I hold the loop with another pliers, I use these sideways to tuck the wire end in. They work like a dream.

You can even use them right up next to a crystal bead or seed bead that you might otherwise crack or crush with a less precise pliers, since the gauge at the tips are not that much wider than most wire gauges that you'd be using. I also like that I can usually rescue a not-so-nice and tightly done wrap that I rushed through by using these pliers. I just put 1 end inside of the loop and the other end is fine enough to catch the other edge of the wrapping to tighten them together ... or start from the beginning of the wrap and work your way around (and around) until you get to the end to tighten it up that way.

I'm sorry for the wordiness of this review; but I was really happy when I found these and they have held up to hundreds of uses over the 3-plus years since I bought the 1st pair. Lastly, I haven't found that they scratch soft or colored wire any more or less than any other plier; but I did end up dipping the ends of my extra pair in Tool Magic, and liked the result of that, too.

Excellent Pliers
These are the most versatile pliers in my toolbox. I just love the narrow points, as well as the control they give me doing so many tasks, from bead retreival to holding the tiniest jump rings to wire work. The precision these offer makes them a must-have tool.

My #1 tool
I have had these pliers for a while and they are really workhorses! I like small loops and small components and these are always the first tool I pick up. Regular size chain nose pliers start to feel like they belong in a blacksmith shop instead of on a jewelry workbench. I have never regretted what these cost one bit and because of them have purchased other Xuron tools (get their flush cutters!).

Love these!!!
These are great for wire wrapping in small places. They are also big enough that they fit perfectly in my hand. I've used smaller tools and prefer a larger handle on my tools but not too large and these are a perfect fit! LOVE, love them!

Beyond expectations
I never knew how important it is to have the correct tools till I ordered these. They are easy to handle, perfect for getting into tight spots, durable, easy to use, and gentle to your hands. I definately would recommend Xuron to any one that is serious in making jewelry.
