This delicate Herringbone bead woven bracelet features a beautiful opal palette of four colors, finished with a tapered brick stitch leading to the clasp for a clean design.

These instructions are for a 6 1/4 inch bracelet, please increase or decrease the amount of herringbone beading to make your desired length bracelet.

Begin by watching our video on how to weave flat herringbone stitch. Cut Fireline thread to a length you feel comfortable working with and thread a needle.
Following the technique shown in the video, weave a ladder stitch foundation row that is 10 seed beads long, with the following color pattern from your Exclusive Beadaholique Sol Gel Seed Bead Palette in Mermaid Cove: 1 rose opal bead, 2 african opal beads, 1 amethyst opal bead, 2 tanzanite opal beads, 1 amethyst opal bead, 2 african opal beads, 1 rose opal bead.
Continue weaving herringbone stitch until your bracelet is 5 inches long, or your desired length. While weaving, you will need to tie off and add new thread.
Next, please watch our video on how to finish herringbone stitch with a brick stitch decrease. Following the instructions in the video, weave back through your last row of beads using ladder stitch, and add successively shorter rows of brick stitch, using the rose opal seed beads, until the piece tapers to a row of three beads. Sew on half of your magnetic clasp. Weave in your thread tail.
Repeat the process in step 4 on the other side of the bracelet and add the second half of your magnetic clasp. Tie off and weave in your thread tail.
Show everyone your new bracelet!
